This is not a regular BLT my friends! I mean it is a BLT composed by bacon, lettuce and tomato (and mayo), but the bacon here is made of beef. This special piece of meat I got from the meat expert- Max The Meat Guy. Max aged this piece of meat for 40 days, then smoked it like bacon. The flavor profile was absolutely bacon-ish, as well as the look. I made a brioche bread to celebrate it and paired with lettuce, tomatoes and Kewpie mayo. The result was fabulous. Obviously this sandwich can be done with any type of bacon you desire!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of brioche bread

Lets Start Cooking!

step 1

Slice your brioche bread.

step 2

Slice a tomato thinly and salt them to your liking.

step 3

Wash the lettuce and separate to leaves.

step 4

Fry your bacon on medium heat until crispy. Start by placing the bacon cold on the pan, then turn on the heat. No need to add oil to the frying as the bacon will release its own fat.

step 5

Build the sandwich by spreading mayo on each slice of brioche. Add the tomato’s slices. Add the lettuce. Add the bacon. Close the sandwich.

step 6

Toast the sandwich on a preheated pan, 2 minutes on each side.

step 7
