Every Independence Day is celebrated with BBQ- especially here in the United States! It is a traditional grilling day. So, next to the roasted meat you are gonna cook today, you should absolutely have a salad! And what better salad than a grilled corn salad?! Seasoned with gorgeous flavors like lime juice, lime zest, sumac, and chili which make this salad a perfect pairing to any dish you make today!

Ingredients

  • 2 corn on the cobs
  • 2 limes
  • ½ of a red onion
  • 100 gr Feta cheese (I used Ezine Klasik which is the Turkish equivalent)
  • A of cilantro leaves
  • 1 tablespoon sumac
  • ½ tablespoon chili flakes
  • Salt
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Grill or Gas Range
Bowl
Knife
Cutting Board

Lets Start Cooking!

step 1

Heat up your grill to 600°F or 320°C.

Shuck the corn and grill them for about 15 minutes or until they well charred.

Let them cool down while you prep the rest of the salad.

Cut the red onion in half and slice it as thin as you can.

Separate the cilantro leaves from the stalks.

step 6

Directly in the serving bowl, using a sharp knife, shave the grilled corn off the cob.

Crumble the cheese.

step 8

Add the rest of the ingredients and toss well.

step 9

Serve next to all your BBQ food.
